As one of the early pioneers providing personal one on one budget coaching and counseling — before there was even a personal finance trend — I understand the deeper side of how money affects our lives. As a Budget Coach, I love sharing that understanding, passion, caring, and wisdom during our coaching process.

Growing up in Wisconsin, where I lived above a cheese factory and worked in the factory below, I began saving money by dividing my earnings into 5 jars labeled College, Clothes, Savings, Spending and Car. Later, when newly married, and moved to Albuquerque, NM, I carried over my skills and variety of life and work experiences to develop a simple family budgeting system, which eventually formed the basis for my original workbook, Common Cent$: The Complete Money Management Workbook. That original book ultimately was renamed, edited and published as The Budget Kit currently available in print or eBook.

By 2000 I was divorced and ready for a change in my life and took the leap to Silicon Valley. Those ten years living in that energizing environment and experiencing the booms and crashes and working with clients to get through both sides totally impacted my life. Once again it was time for a change, and I moved back to NM with greatly broadened Coaching/Counseling/Accountability Services and insights I now provide.

I love being a Sherpa and guiding people through all facets of emotions, shame, confusion, overwhelm along with the opportunity to witness the successes, transformations and new life that clients experience as they reduce and eliminate their debt, increase their savings and have a new confidence, mindset and behaviors to help them maintain their financial peace of mind with their finances.
